Sacramento Firefighters Pipes and Drums is committed to advancing the culture and
heritage of Scottish and Irish bagpipes and drumming in the greater Sacramento area.
We invite any firefighter with a desire to participate in such an orginization to come out and learn to play an instrument steeped in history.

Fellow band geeks and random observers.The bands busy months of September and October are behind us, and the busy holiday months of November and December are ahead of us.In September the band played several events including the Bombero program, National Citizen Corp. opening, a retirement, an academy, Bob Werner's funeral, and several of us traveled to Colorado Springs for the National Firefighter Memorial. What an experience that was. October was just as busy with a cool cops vs fire boxing event, the 75th aniversary of station 4 in the city, the City Firefighter Plot Ceremony and parade, and of course the California Firefighter Memorial. All were great events, and the bands performances were the center piece of each event as stated by every event coordinater.November and December promice to be busy months for the band as well. I see a parade, an academy graduation, and a couple Christmas parties in our future. I'm looking forward to getting the band together and showing off in the holiday season.Happy Holidays....
