Sacramento Firefighters Pipes and Drums is committed to advancing the culture and
heritage of Scottish and Irish bagpipes and drumming in the greater Sacramento area.
We invite any firefighter with a desire to participate in such an orginization to come out and learn to play an instrument steeped in history.

Pipes and Drums
St. Paddy's day has come and gone.
It was a great day.
I want to thank everyone who came out and participated in the parade.
We had well over a hundred firefighters and their families march in the parade.
We had equipment from Sac. Metro, West Sac., Elk Grove, and Sac. City Fire.
We had Local 522 represented as well as the 522 honor guard, Norcal Fools, and Sacramento Firefighters Pipes and Drums.
The band had 19 members marching that day. Special thanks to Pat Tefts, Rob Lyons, and Frank Walsh, all pipers from CPF, as well as Dan Barker and Bill Broderick, tenor drummers with CPF.
Members of the SFFP&D did a hell of a job. By all accounts, we looked and sounded great.
It was a long day of performing in several venues, and the crowds were great.
I look forward to doing it again next year.
